Liverpool won me over completely. I loved that fact that I could walk anywhere in the centre within twenty minutes, I love the spacious feel of the place offered by the waterfront, and I loved the mens urinals in The Phil. The stained glass in the catholic cathedral is simple fabulous. I remembered having loved it on my only previous brief visit to Liverpool in 1978 when I was considering going to university there, then too it had left me breathless and etched itself on my memory.
