This weeks Throwdown was really intense, and made wonderful viewing. All five makers put in a quality performance, my own favourites were Christine's and Lucinda's, though you have to hand it to AJ, she always comes up with the goods and her making skills really are excellent. I think Anna did well considering she was being asked to make in a style so contrary to her usual style. Poor Jenny, good but not good enough on the night. Compared to the others her piece did somehow lack something . . . size and impact for starters. But she did have a good run for her money and she seemed to really grow and progress over the course of the series.
Whoever goes next week it will be sad to lose them as all four makers have shown themselves to be capable and versatile. I imagine it will be Christine or Anna who goes but as always it comes down to the make and the performance on the day. Can't wait, though it is difficult to top Sunday's performances I think.
