So after hours of crawling around on all fours my bathroom floor is finally the most wonderful colour – and it matches the glaze on the tiles (early Wiffens – would do them differently now but hey ho!).
Mixed two match pots together in the end to get the perfect shade – and I love it almost as much as my toenails (see Rainbow weekend part 1) but it was a lot more hassle!
The third foray into colour was an attempt to create a flier to create the Cockpit Arts Open Studio flier which this year celebrates 25 years. Played around a great deal and made a lot of mess . . . got dispirited with original idea which didn’t seem to work – and felt guilty at not dedicating more time to the floor! But finally came up with something simple – jewels and silver chains on an olive velvet ground. Almost certainly not a prize winner but at least I made the effort. Bon fin de semaine as they say across the channel.
