Happy New Year
2011 – my goodness!!! How can it be, and I used to think the millennium would never come as it was soooooo far off! It’s nice to be back in the studio again, to see the usual friendly Cockpit faces, to share nice lunches again with Mel (my assistant), and to contemplate the way forward in 2011.
I have decided not to do Top Drawer Spring this year, nor Harrogate (British Craft Trade Fair) but to concentrate on the ACE convention. ACE (the Association of Cultural Enterprises) has an annual convention with trade show attached for those involved in the heritage and culture markets. This year it is taking place in Cardiff – a city I don’t know at all. But hey it’s always good to ring the changes from time to time!
Two New Year’s resolutions this year: to practise chi gung at home as well as in the Monday class, and to eat more slowly. The latter will be a real challenge for me as I always bolt my food! A combination perhaps of fear that someone might steal it, and sheer gluttony!
Off to Spain for a few days in Jan to see my favourite city (Madrid) and some of my favourite people. So a very good start to the year – I hope yours gets off to a good start too!
