Busy old week ...
I started the week spending a day with Kev Dutton who was photographing my work for my website and for promotional purposes . I love working with Kev – he is so easy going, likes a bit of music and a chat about the Tour de France (which we both follow avidly) and is the consummate professional. He takes extraordinary care over each shot – which always seems a bit over the top to me – but I do appreciate it is the right way to get a good result and so I am grateful for his fussing!
Later in the week I received a surprise visit from a journalist from the South London Press. Jack McCormick noticed my tweet about receiving an order from Angola which intrigued him. He called by and we had a cup of tea and a chat. Hopefully there will be some kind of feature about my business in the not too distant future – will keep you informed.
Finally towards the end of the week I received another order from St Paul’s Cathedral. The bespoke range I created for them it seems is selling very well which is most gratifying. The mosaic pendants seem to be particularly popular – hurrah!
So what will next week bring? I have a young woman – Thea – coming to do work experience with me so I’m going to give her free range on Spotify and find out more about the world of teenage music listening habits . . . . will I regret this?
