The oldest music hall in the world –
Wilton's is just a fab place to spend an evening. Last night I went there to see Katherine Rhodes (magician) together with some other curious acts by Long Spoon (odd but good) and a beautiful singer whose name sadly I failed to commit to memory. KR was great, a funny sassy woman with great stage presence and a baffling act which leaves you thinking “how can that be possible?”.

It’s the second time I’ve been to Wilton’s; the first was about six months ago to see an all male production of The Pirates of Penzance. That was hugely funny and joyful and I came out singing merrily as I walked back to London Bridge. This time was just as much fun but a very different kind of show. Everything about Wilton’s adds up to the perfect night out: beautifully shabby and atmospheric place which takes you back in time, a great bar with friendly staff, great food, and wonderful performances with the kind of atmosphere you only get in a small venue.
Go there, you’ll love it.
